Forever Angels believe all children should be raised in a loving family
Our two programmes are focused on family preservation
It started while Amy was living in Tanzania and came across four dying babies in a hospital closet. She was told they were “AIDS orphans”, but what was clear was that they were actually dying from starvation. She couldn’t stand by and watch babies die from starvation, when all it would take to save them, was milk.
She started Forever Angels which has cared for 444 babies to date - reuniting 201 with relatives and finding foster and adoptive families for 132.
Over the years, she came to realise that many of the families we support could care for their own children at home, if they had the financial capacity to do it. Maisha Matters was born as a way to prevent child abandonment and keep orphaned babies, at home, with their biological families.
We value transparency - see our live Impact Dashboard
Forever Angels Family Homes and Maisha Matters are both run by a team of dedicated, local staff.
